People's Baptist Church

Corpus Christi, TX
Pastor Cowger
Founder Lester Roloff

We felt so honored to have the opportunity to sing where Bro. Roloff once proclaimed the Gospel. All summer we have sang Roloff choruses and the very same songs his "Honeybee Quartet" once sang. It was almost nostalgic to be there and it was a blessing to see how his work, now led by Pastor Cowger, continues to change lives. We each also had the privilege of sharing with the church, "Jubilee Home", and "Lighthouse" how the Lord saved us and how He persistently guides and directs our lives.

The following day our group helped clean the Rebekah House for their upcoming Founder's Week. We enjoyed helping them by scrubbing toilets and tubs, making beds, cleaning rooms... During a break from all of the work, we saw Roloff Enterprises, met Bro. Roloff's secretary, and went to Bro. Roloff's home (which now holds memorabilia of his life and ministry). There were many quotes painted on the walls; two of them were: "It's the strength, not the length of our life that counts for God." and "If you aim at nothing- You'll hit it every time."

Once we finished cleaning, the ladies at the "Jubilee Home" had us over for dinner. What a blessing it was to spend time with them and hear what all the Lord has done in their lives! Bro. and Mrs. Knickerbocker shared their testimonies, we sang again, and all enjoyed talking about the goodness of the Lord. Thank you so much, Pastor Cowger, for allowing us to come and for the meals. Thank you also to the ladies at the "Jubilee Home" for your kindness. It was a pleasure to meet each one of you!

It's great to see that the other trio's and quartets are serving the Lord by workin' and scrubbin' bathrooms. :) I miss you all and am praying for you.
