Pastor Leach
On Friday we traveled from Fort Worth to Midland and attended a very exciting Youth Rally! The evening was filled with not only spirited singing and preaching but also, hilarious games and skits. The games included putting on frozen t-shirts and a ping-pong ball/pantyhose head rivalry. Bro. Knickerbocker and Alysha were called on to participate in a melodious balloon and party-horn “orchestra” and Grace raced to consume the contents of lemonade separately -lemons, sugar, then water! Derrick Morlan, graduate of Crown Southwest and Norris Seminary, preached on our life being a vapor-"Life is only a little dash in comparison to eternity."
After the message, we enjoyed ice cream- with every kind of topping imaginable- and chips and salsa in the fellowship hall. Thank you so much Pastor Leach and Westside Baptist Church for the meal and dessert, and for allowing us to participate in your youth rally!
The next morning the Gillit’s had a ladies brunch at their home. Lauren cooked up a storm and we all enjoyed socializing together. Julianna gave a devotional about our testimony and we each shared something about a woman who has influenced our life. It was so encouraging to spend time with such a godly group of ladies. Thank you, Gillit family for opening your home to us and for the fellowship and food!
On our way back to Fort Worth, we stopped at President Bush's Childhood Home! It was fascinating to see where our President grew up!
