Crown Southwest and Norris Seminary Graduation

(and the Independent Baptist Fellowship International meetings)

The Crown Southwest and Norris Seminary Graduation was not only exciting for the graduates (Julianna Williams, Derrick Morlan, and Frank Smith), but also for everyone who attended- which included over seventy pastors! Pastor Sexton encouraged us to live with the purpose of pleasing God in all things.

We thoroughly enjoyed seeing our Pastor and Mrs. Sexton. It was such a blessing to spend time with them. Following the Graduation, we all had lunch together. It was like a family reunion with a lot of fellowship and eating! Thank you Pastor and Mrs. Sexton for all of your encouragement and love. You mean so very much to us and we miss you already!

The Independent Baptist Fellowship International also hosted their meetings in the Raymond Barber Conference Center the Tuesday through Thursday after graduation. It was such a pleasure to hear Bro. Scott Pauley, Vice President of Crown College, and Bro. Tim Tomlinson, Dean of Seminary, preach. They were such an encouragement to us, as always! Bro. Pauley preached passionately concerning our work for the Lord- "God's work is not about what we can do, it is about following Christ." Bro. Tomlinson also preached with great sincerity on the work of God- "God's work, done God's way, will always have God's provision." Bro. Raymond Barber and many others preached as well.

We were able to sing many times during the meetings. Dr. Jerry Siler "joined" our singing group during one of our songs and nicknamed us the “Crown Jewels!"
